Project Leader/Analyst (contract)

Controlled a support team of 8 Analyst/Programmers. Implemented major updates to an AS/400 reinsurance accounting system incorporating workflow management techniques.

Recommended the purchase of a Document Image Processing system (£100,000 approx.) estimated to save the company a minimum £40,000 per annum.

Investigated and specified a system to charge out computer usage to user departments.

Led a project to improve system response times.

Led a project, consisting of a Business Analyst and 8 Analyst/Programmers working across NCR and IBM platforms, to recover premiums of £50m.

Project controlled using Microplanner Xpert.

Liaison and co-ordination with auditors from Price Waterhouse.

Instigated and developed Problem Reporting and Change Control systems based on the Macintosh, written in Foxbase+/Mac, later redeveloped in Filemaker Pro
